What is BTX?
BTX is a Layer 1 Proof-of-Work blockchain that secures its network using a matrix multiplication (MatMul) mining algorithm optimized for modern GPUs. Rather than relying on traditional hash-based mining, BTX is designed around compute-intensive workloads common in AI and high-performance computing (HPC), with a fixed supply of 21 million BTX, a 90-second target block time, and an open, mineable network focused on decentralized security and efficient GPU utilization.
