What is Ixios?
Ixios is a layer-1 quantum-resistant blockchain with one-second block times. The network uses a consensus mechanism known as FastClique, which prioritizes predictable throughput and low-latency finality, targeting over 286 transactions per second under real-world conditions even with post-quantum signatures. IXIOS has a fixed, non-inflationary supply of 10 billion coins.
The protocol supports modular digital signature schemes and introduces Q-Addresses, which are designed to utilize post-quantum signature algorithms including MLDSA87 to ensure security against threats from future quantum computers.
The Ixios mainnet launched on April 5, 2025. The network is designed as a performant and quantum-secure base layer for decentralized applications, combining fast finality with post-quantum cryptographic standards at the protocol level.
