What is Raiden Network Token?
RDN is the utility token for Raiden Network, an off-chain scaling solution enabling near-instant, low-fee and scalable payments for the Ethereum blockchain. Raiden Network provides an infrastructure layer on top of Ethereum for developers to interact with the blockchain using a simple API to create scalable decentralized applications on the Raiden Network. The Raiden Wizard is a browser application to assist with creating and funding accounts for use with Raiden, providing a simple method to install Raiden and operate a Raiden node. The Raiden dApp is a reference implementation of the Raiden Light Client software development kit (SDK). Raiden Network aims to avoid the "blockchain consensus bottleneck" by leveraging a network of payment channels, allowing for the secure transfer of value off-chain, i.e without involving the blockchain for every transfer. The goal of Raiden project is to research state channel technology, define protocols and develop reference implementations.
