What is Splintershards?
Splintershards (SPS) is the BEP-20 governance token for Splinterlands NFT (Non-Fungible Token) digital collectibles and card game ecosystem, a decentralized application (DAapp) allowing players to buy, sell, trade and battle Splinterlands playing cards, earning NFTs and cryptocurrency with game infrastructure powered by HIVE Delegated Proof-of-Stake blockchain network. Splinterlands currently has over 20,000 daily active players with hundreds of thousands of battles fought and cards traded each day. Cards have four Rarity types: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each battle has a different combination of combat rules, total Mana cap, and playable Splinters. Factions, otherwise known as "Splinters", include Fire, Earth, Water, Life, Death, Dragon, and Neutral (mercenaries). Splintershards token SPS gives players decision making ability for in-game governance proposals allowing players to vote for or against different proposed changes to the game and ecosystem.
