Basic Attention Token is a blockchain based advertising system, aiming to radically change how ads are served. BAT is built on top of the Ethereum blockchain and uses a browser called Brave.
Brave is their open-source browser, with privacy at its core and is designed to block advertising trackers and cookies, while utilizing blockchain technology to anonymously and securely track user attention. Coupled with the date behind user attention the aim of the Basic Attention Token is to is to display fewer ads to users while improving the content they see.
