What is GMX?
GMX is the platform utility and governance token for GMX, a decentralized margin trading and perpetual exchange on the Arbitrum layer 2 network allowing users to spot trade leveraged long or short positions and perpetual futures with no requirement for username or password. Users can stake GMX to earn the liquidity provider reward token GLP, comprised of an index of assets used for swaps and leverage trading. Escrowed GMX can be staked for rewards similar to regular GMX tokens, or vested to become actual GMX tokens after a one year period.
