What is ICON?
ICON is attempting to bridge a gap in the Crypto ecosystem by creating a decentralized network of different blockchain communities.
ICON can be described as an interconnecting blockchain network, ICON has the ability to connect independent blockchains without the use of any additional, third-party intermediaries. By using the ICON platform various blockchains become able to indepndently communicate with one another.
By connecting siloed blockchains, ICON aims to become the most expanisve blockchain in existence. ICON tokens are called ICX. ICX is used as an intermediary currency when transacting amongst the different blockchain networks. Being an inter-chain blockchain, the ICON platform will also have the ability to host other ICOs on the ICON platform.
