What is SKALE?
The SKALE Network token (SKL) is a hybrid use token representing the right to work in the SKALE Layer-2 Proof-of-Stake network as a validator, delegator, or to access shared resources. SKALE describes itself as a decentralized elastic sidechain providing a modular cloud for developers to deploy and run powerful Ethereum decentralized applications (DApps) with just a few lines of code. SKALE Network uses a modular protocol to allow developers to easily provision resources and configure highly customizable blockchains, without compromising computational power, storage, or security requirements for scalable decentralization. SKALE is an asynchronous protocol, following the same model as the Internet to recognize latencies, allowing messages to take an indefinite period of time to deliver.
