What is Audius?
AUDIO is the ERC-20 utility token for Audius decentralized music streaming service, developed on the Solana blockchain ecosystem with the goal of providing users with a secure and feature rich audio streaming ecosystem to browse, share, discover and listen to a variety of high quality digital audio content, while also providing content creators a platform to host and monetize their recordings. Artists may stake their earned or purchased AUDIO token to gain a more favorable distribution and higher probability of fan discovery, unlocking additional services such as artist tokens and badges. Governed by its decentralized community of artists, API partners, and audio entertainment consumers, Audius allows users staking AUDIO token to gain voting rights to determine the long-term growth path of the platform, while also earning a share of network fees for helping secure the network.
