What is Holo Token?
HoloChain is a peer to peer DAPP (Decentralized Application Platform) that is used to process agentcentric agreements and consensus mechanisms between parties. Holochain does not have a true global consensus mechanisms. Instead each user on the chain supports a private fork which holds limited information using a distributed hash table. This mechanism allows for every user on the network to function independenly, and requires synchronization on when neceesary, or is agreed upon by both parties. The Holo platform depends on hosts that provide the computing resources necessary for the processing and data storage for the DAPP. In return these resource providers are awarded redeemable credits for their contribution. Holochain DAPPS allow for users to develop in a multitude of different programming languages such as Javascript, Lisp on the backend, and can be used in conjuction with CSS, HTML,and JavaScript on the front end.
