Luna is the native staking token of Terra protocol used in mining and protocol governance. Users can receive rewards by delegating (staking) Luna to validators who record and verify transactions on the blockchain, in return earning rewards from transaction fees for operating nodes on the Terra network. Terra chain is a proof-of-stake blockchain powered by the Cosmos SDK and secured by Tendermint consensus.
